This form is for you.

You don't need a manager, label or an extravagant press campaign or impressive streaming numbers. We want to hear directly from the people making the music!

A few things before you submit

  • Be yourself. We don't need a perfectly written artist bio or a press release. Tell us about yourself and your music in your own words.

  • Send us the song you're most excited about. It doesn't have to be your biggest or most streamed song, we'd rather hear the one that best represents you.

  • Tell us what you're building. Maybe you've just released your first song, maybe you're halfway through making an EP, or perhaps you've been playing tiny shows for years. We want to know where you are right now and where you want to go.

  • Don't worry about numbers. Streams, followers and monthly listeners aren't what our Artist Spotlight is about. We're interested in the music, your ideas and your potential.

  • Unreleased music IS welcome. If there's something coming that you'd particularly like us to hear, you can send us a private listening link. Just make sure you tell us when it's expected to be released and be clear about your boundaries regarding your unreleased work.

  • You don't need an EPK. Photos, artwork and additional links are useful and exclusive shoots/media is fantastic! But don't worry if you don't have a professional press kit yet or any disposable exclusives.

  • Please only submit your own music. If you're submitting on behalf of an artist you represent, use our Label & Management submission form instead.

  • One submission is enough. We listen to every submission we can, so there's no need to send the same music multiple times. You're always welcome to come back when you have something new to share.

  • Submitting is completely free. Artist Spotlight is editorial. Nobody can pay to be selected, and having industry representation will NEVER put you ahead of an independent artist. Please note SongSense generate absolutely NO REVENUE from the artist spotlight.

Please read the guidance before you submit, please be clear about which label, management or PR group you are from. 

A few things before you submit

  • Submissions are open to independent and signed artists at any stage of their career.
  • Submit one artist at a time and choose the song/project you think best represents where they are right now.
  • Please send streaming links rather than downloadable files where possible.
  • The music must be released or have a confirmed upcoming release. Unreleased/private links are welcome where provided for editorial consideration, exceptions can be made please be clear in the submission..
  • Tell us why we should be paying attention: we're interested in the artist, their development, influences, ambitions and story, not just a bio copied from Spotify.
  • Social following and streaming numbers do not determine selection. Artist Spotlight is about finding music and artists we genuinely believe are worth discovering.
  • Please make sure all information, artwork and photographs you submit are yours to share and can be used by SongSense if you are selected.
  • Submission does not guarantee coverage. We may not be able to respond individually to every submission.
  • There is no fee to submit and no fee to be selected and there is no financial gain for SongSense. Editorial coverage CANNOT be purchased.
  • Please don't repeatedly resubmit the same release. If you've got genuinely new music or a significant new development, we'd love to hear from you again.
